i think i'm in week four of the mono thing. maybe five. i dunno. i've worked the whle time, but there was no way to stay on plan. i can't workout because i feel like i got accidentally run over... 15 times.

i've experienced massive muscle loss. it's like i haven't seen the gym in years, not weeks. there's no muscle in my arms. the ball of muscle that usually pops on my thigh and knee when i cross my legs is no more.

my pants are tight! i'm retaining huge fluid, but i can't tell how much is that and how mush is genuine fat gain because of the change in diet and loss of muscle.

i'm miserable. and achey. and so over this... i haven't been out socially since the first week of the year. i think i've lost all my women!

that's okay... too tired...

need to catch up on my own work.

a few days before the symptoms started, i enrolled in two grad courses so i can teach additional classes. as always, i have great timing.

I'm so sorry you've been sick! I had mono in high school - lasted almost three months and took me forever to recover! It's NO fun at all!! I hope you feel better FAST!!!!!

Aww Alex, I'm sorry.

I've never had mono, but you're describing how it felt to be 9 1/2 months pregnant. I thought it would never end, but it did.....and you'll feel better, too.

Duuude, Alex, I TOTALLY know where your head is! If you see my posts in the Maintenance journal, I've been talking about the EXACT same sh*t regarding muscle loss after not being able to exercise! Totally sucks! Even if I haven't gained weight, I feel like a sloth and just big and gross all over! Yeah, I hear ya sister!

Sorry you're feeling like crap. I hope it gets better soon for you!
