Jenn,
(I will also PM you this.)
I'm sorry but I am tapped out on pets -- I can only have 1 per my very strict landlord, and I have a cat.
However! I will place your plea up at work, and I will contact you with any leads.
Also, if need be, if it comes down to it, may I recommend a shelter in the Berkshires:
Long-Term Care:
Berkshire Humane Society
214 Barker Road
Pittsfield, MA 01201
Phone: 413-447-7878
"
The BHS is committed to never turning any animal away because of space, illness or temperament, thereby helping people who have no where else to turn. For the year 2005, the Berkshire Humane Society took in over 1800 unwanted pets and in addition to placing 100% of all adoptable dogs, 91% of adoptable cats also found homes."
*The BHS is where I adopted my cat. AN AMAZING PLACE. My workplace has been heavily involved with them for years. They do put down animals but only when absolutely necessary -- that is, animal is deathly ill with no chance of recovery or animal is hopelessly dangerous/vicious/damaging. They do their very best to rehabilitate all problematic animals with excellent trainers.
I will PM you their website too.
If you'd like, PM me with the name and phone number of the dog owner and I can have interested coworkers call them direct -- no promises but I will definitely talk him up!
Give me some more doggie details!
***Plus maybe a charming photograph of him looking loveable?
We are all animal lovers where I work -- we are even allowed to bring our pets to work! Crazy eh? Yep, I am surrounded by dogs all day. No cats yet, though if my cat gets super-brave, I might bring her in...
