Hi All!

Postby veritas » March 16th, 2006, 8:24 am

Hello All! I wanted to let everyone know that it is because of this forum that I decided to invest in MF. It is so inspiring to see all of the results and support. I am very excited to be a part of such a wonderful group of people. :yippee: I have about 50 lbs. to lose and I am on day 3 of MF. It is going very well, I like everything except the chicken noodle soup. :eck: Maybe I will try it again next week. I am very determined to meet my goal. I know with your help I can do it! I have lost weight on Atkins in the past but I just didn't feel very healthy and I lost muscle. I became one big squishy person after my second child. It seems like this diet has a good balance. I woke up this morning with a super burst of energy. :drive: It was cool, hadn't felt that way in a while. So anyways, you will be hearing from me and hopefully it will be good reports! I WILL BE SKINNY!!!

Welcome to our little but constantly growing family :goteam: Look how weel you are ding all ready! You have gotten through the hard part and now it is smooth sailing (with the exception of those little foody cravings that pop into our heads now and again  but now it will be easier for you to resist). I look forward to seeing you shrink along with the rest of us and let me congratulate you on nipping this weight thing in the bud early with only 50lbs to lose rather than 130lbs to lose (like someone I know.....hey you talking to me....yeah you...LISA) ok just being silly now.

Happy shaking

Lisa

HI VERITAS

What a cute post---and I do like the meaningful Bible verse at the bottom of it! Well, hon, welcome to our little conclave! With your great attitude --"I will be skinny!"--- How can you not do it.

Now, the chicken noodle soup is one of my favorites. Here's how I fix mine: :chef:

In the morning I add about 1-1/2 C hot water to the packet in a small sauce pan...throw in a chicken bouillon cube, dice a stalk of celery in it, add Mrs. Dash spice, (or other as desired) and set aside until about 30 minutes before I want it. Bring to boil and then simmer to desired thickness. Lovely! Then comes the MF crackers and I am set for a feast! :bib: If you like it, let us know. Everyone does it differently, I'm sure.

It looks like you have things pretty much under control. Come join the chorus, and post a lot. It helps us all. :puter:

Hi and welcome! My goal is 50 pounds as well. I already worked on the squishy tummy some with pilates though, that worked well to get my muscles back after the new baby! I highly recommend it. :)

hello everyone

Postby sheila » March 16th, 2006, 2:00 pm

hello veritas! So good to have you here! Hey, Im with ya on the chicken soup, but that is the great thing about this program, through trying all of the items mf has to offer, you learn what you like and dont like, then the next time you order, you will know what not to get. I am pretty picky, myself. i just ordered some of the pb bars and they are great, and so are the mint. I have heard that if you freeze the mint bar, it will taste just like a girl scout cookie. yum!but i was shopping at wal mart yesterday, and had packed one in my purse, even like that, it wasnt half bad. with so many choices, i think that is what will carry me through this.funny story... I went to the sauna last night because i have been feeling very bloated, i thought from all the water. So, i put on my sauna suit, which is all silver, and everyone who came in kept telling me i looked like an astronaut. i think i will go only 1 time a week, but it made a difference.

Hi

Hi Veritas!

Welcome to the forums, I'm a newbie and I have about 29 more pounds to lose than you. I'm glad you're here!

Also, as you go through MF, your tastes change a bit (at least mine sure did!!!!!) I tried stuff I didn't like a week later and loved them, if that doesn't work, there is a thread where you can trade the stuff you don't like for the stuff you do, you also can order different things next time if you don't like something!

These forums are GREAT, check out the Lean Cuisine for GREAT ideas on making the food tastier or in a different way.

Welcome!!! Happy to have you! We'll get through this TOGETHER!

Can't you tell...we're winning!

Thanks for all the replies, I already feel at home. I hope that in a month or so I can be just as encouraging to the rest of the newcomers. Just wondering, is everyone doing the 5&1 plan or do most people replace all meals with MF? I don't think I could survive without one regular meal, but it seems like it would be less guesswork if you just had the meal replacements. I don't think going out to eat works for me since I am always worried that there is hidden calories in the food. (Cooking oils, sauces, wines, and etc.) I really want to do this right and make it worth my while. I know if I don't see results I will get discouraged. I was just wondering what everybody else was doing. Thanks again for the support.

By the way Sheila,
your sauna incident brought a chuckle. I was having a mental picture of an astronaut lady in the pool, too funny. So tell me, is there intelligent life out there? Hehe

I don't think they are allowed to recommend the total fast without your doctor's approval first, but I have gone for days without any food whatsoever and only water and have had no ill effects. I think it's probably a legal issue just in case something were to happen.

I am going to try to do a 100% replacement fast for at least a week. We'll see how that goes. :) I'm sure just staying on the plan and following everything to a T will work perfect! They said elsewhere on the site if you don't lose weight on this, then either you aren't following the plan precisely or you have something medically wrong. I was SOOO happy to read that, you have no idea just how happy! I WILL DO IT and I WILL SUCCEED! So can you! Yayyyyyyy!

:D :D :D

LOL.. edited, bad grammar. :P
