Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Ticker troubles

Postby goodtaste1 » March 12th, 2007, 4:56 pm

Okay. I'm trying so hard to get completely ready to dive in with both feet tomorrow. I've cleaned out cupboards, have my lovely 'before' photos sitting in perfect spots where they should discourage me (and anyone who comes near them) to behave, etc.

My problem is, I am a professional event planner. I do not do technical very well, and although I consider myself quite bright & talented, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get my little ticker showing under my signature.

When I go to the tickerfactory.com and enter the information, I do not see any 'bbc' code listed. When I hit home, thinking I would find some technical info, I am sent to an fertility site! Yipes.

I'm so frustrated. It doesn't make me want to eat, but I certainly could use a martini on this last night of fatness.

SOS. Please.
Cheers!

Fixed your ticker for you.
You didn't have quite the complete address.
Take a look at it in your signature and copy the format when you update it.

Let me know if it's ok....:)

Yes he does.
Question... people who use ticker factory... do you have to recopy the BBCode each time you update your weight? On extrapounds, when you update the weight on their, it automatically updates the ticker on here. Just wondering.

Yes, Mike, that's why I switched to extrapounds.com early on. I was too lazy to copy and paste each time.

Mike, no, I don't have to do anything other than go to ticker.com and put in my password, new date and new weight. Ticker.com made changes so that the new weight shows up on the website without me having to change the code.

Yes, I think during my fanatic trials trying to get the ticker to work, I read something that they've updated it so you don't have to copy & paste any longer. Amen!

Unca does rock. I was almost driven to madness over this thing and now I'm calm, cool, and collected again and enjoying my very first day on the program. Two hours and all is well. Talk about baby steps, eh?

Cool. I know extrapounds just upgraded a bunch of things too. They now give the tickers in 2 sizes also.
