Thanks guys. As usualy I've only a minute to post but I'm going to make an effort to be here at least once per day. Glad to know I've been missed.

It's late, about 11:45 and I just got out of surgery. Long day, all my Tuesdays are, but I did very well with MF today so I've got no complaints. Just took a huge tumor off a dog's shoulder. Won't know if it's bening or malignant until I get the path report in a few days. I've got my finger's crossed.

Seems like a few people aren't around as much as they were when I took my mini hiatus. Maybe it's the time of the year.

Well I've finished up with Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. I'll admit that this book requires some commitment to complete, but in finishing it I feel as if I've read a classic. It really is a beautiful book. I loved the typically english setting, dark, spooky castles, rolling countryside, mischevious faeries, all of it. The characters were complicated and colored in inumerable shades of grey. You really have to re-examine every character in the final section of this fabulous book. The ending is not tidy, something else I also appreciated.
None were good, none were bad. All were vulnerably human, even those that weren't! All in all a great book. Read it! Read it!

Now I'm reading The Decapitated Chicken and Other Short Stories - Horacio Quiroga. Very creepy.

A few have dropped out. Some others have just gotten busy (or I'm also just not around as much because of maintenance). I've been keeping up with Alex some, though, since my Maggie has had TPLO surgery twice now. She reacted much better to the whole thing than Miz Lilly has, though, thankfully.

The last time, a little over a year ago, they suggested an even newer surgery. But my TPLO doc from before said he didn't think it was as good and hadn't been used enough yet. Which was enough for me, since I think the man is a GOD.

How's it going, doc? Did you ever get the tearsheet I sent you with the lion photo we ran?

YUp got it and I sent you a thank you pm.

NOT busy today. Hooray! Had a minor eye surgery to do this morning but now I'm at my favorite place in the world Barnes and Noble and I'm about to dive back into The Decapitated Chicken. By the way if you want something refreshing try the Starbucks Passion Fruit Iced Tea. (2 Splendas) so good!

Passion tea is one of my favorites (along with Barnes and Noble), but I drink it hot with 2 splendas or 2 drops of SweetsFree. What could be better.....a room full of books and your favorite drink!

"Check" on the room full of books, but my favorite drink is a margarita on the rocks, and I don't think a whole bottle of Sweetzfree can make anything that tastes close to Patron tequila! <sigh>

Yeah, I guess I should have qualified that to "favorite drink sans alcohol".

Me, too. They do make sugar-free strawberry margarita mix, but you'd still have to forgo the tequila. Baja Bob's, though. Not bad.

Obviously, since wine isn't allowed on Medifast. Or maybe the candles were because they forgot to pay the electric bill? That doesn't explain the wine, though. No running water, either?
