LOL

OK, if I see it somewhere and can get just one, I'll give it a try. But I'm not big on fruity, sweet flavors.

Anyone try the new Diet Dr. Pepper Berries and Cream? I really like it. I was afraid the berries would be too much, but the stronger flavor is the cream to me. I think the added sweetness makes it taste really close to a real DP. I've never really liked Diet DP

Hi

I'm with robin here. I think I'm gonna stick to my big red gum too (when I'm allowed!) and my Diet Coke, Diet Dr Pepper and Diet Rite. Sounds...eh, interesting though.

Thanks, dede. I am on day 4 today. So far, so good. I tried the chili today. Not impressed. I was not impressed with the banana puddin either. I have been a little hungry today, unlike days 1-3. So far, no headaches. I really need to get a little scale for my kitchen, though. I don't want to overdo it on my l&g. Last night I made a stir fry that was really good. Problem was, though, I cooked it all together and didn't really know how to measure my veggies and weigh my meat without making a huge mess over everything. So, I just guestimated. I think it was okay, though. It was brocolli, mushrooms, red bell pepper, water cress for crunch and pork tenderloin. I used some soy sauce, fresh grated ginger, sesame seeds (just a sprinkle) oh--and cabbage. I used the Davinci orange syrup to thicken up and sweeten the sauce. It was really good. Only thing missing was the pan fried noodle. I really like the vanilla and chocolate shakes. I can drink the orange, but not too fond of the strawberry or banana. The banana thing is really buggin me. I really like banana and this just doesn't do it for me. I am drinkin lots of water and I have timed my meals with the times I feed my baby. I know I won't forget to feed him. I just make my whatever while I am making his bottle. I put mine in the freezer and feed him, then when I go back to the kitchen to wash his bottle I get mine out and have it.

LAURI,

So glad you got started and have things well in hand, before I finally came in on the tail end of things again! Guess everyone is getting used to that!

Your stir fry sounded wowee good! I do stir fry a lot and really do kind of guestimate the quanties I am supposed to have. :bib:

You are doing great, what with trying to feed you and baby at the same time. But mommies have a way of working things out.

That is absolutely the cutest graphic of the gal on the trampoline. I kept watching it and laughing at it every time she plopped through it!

Well, you're doing great with all the help and support you are getting. Something tells me you really are a 'supermom' in word and deed!

See you around on the posts! :puter:

I don't eat bell pepper of any kind. YUCK!!! I put it in for my husband. He LOVES it. He says if I am going to convert him to a healthy eater, I am going to have to include some things he likes!!

Big Red

Postby Jan » April 15th, 2006, 6:01 pm

Oh My goodness,
I just read all the way thru this post. Big Red a soda?? All this time I though it was some sort of an energy drink and was wondering what you were all up toooo  Hmmm I must be getting it mixed up with a Red Bull I think. I know that different areas have different sodas. When our son was in California he fell in love with some sort of an orange soda that's only available down there. So when our daughter went down to Magic Mountain I had her pick up some for him. She did -- about about 60 cans and guess what -- does he like it now -- No!!! Oh well, the rest of us a getting used to it a little :?

That is funny. Boys are so finicky!!HEHEHEHE There were a lot of people thinking it was going to be a cinamon something. I guess because of the gum. At any rate, it really is a good drink and it is so yummy mixed with the vanilla shake. Have a Hoppy Easter!!

Geez, I lived in Texas in '94, '95 and '96 -- in Killeen & College Station -- and I never had me any Big Red soda! Don't remember seeing it on store shelves either... Musta missed it.

Though I definitely saw lots of stuff that were new to a Massachusetts Yankee like myself. Especially in Piggly Wiggly. I never realized how many different bits of the pig people ate ;) I really enjoyed my years there... Texans are amazingly friendly!

Going through this thread, I just gotta say, WOW! There are A LOT of TEXANS on this board!!

I bet more people from Texas than any other state! Hmmm, maybe I'll do a poll and see how exactly our "MF Family" is dispersed... :D
