Well, you better come for me, too. I'm in Texas and have never even HAD Big Red.

Although the soda of choice here actually seems to be Dr Pepper. Which I also don't drink. I don't think I've even SEEN anyone drinking - or serving - Big Red (at a restaurant, at least).

Actually, I thought Big Red was a chewing gum. Must be a different part of Texas.

Big Red is a chewing gum. But it is also the best soft drink EVER. I don't even know how to describe it. It isn't strawberry and it isn't cherry. It is sweet and bubbly and so yummy. You MUST go out and try it. I keep thinking the vanilla shake will be good in a Big Red. What do you think Ark? :toast:

Robin--don't knock it til you try it!! Have you tried the orange with diet cream soda? VERY YUMMY!! Big Red is GREAT over ice cream, so I am thinking the vanilla shake with some ice and Big RED might be fan@#$%^#^tastic!! I'll let you know.

DogMa ... You and all Texans are in big trouble and I'm coming for you, too Image

Big Red is made in Waco TX and it was popular when I was a child (I'm in my mid 30's). It's very hard to find but I've seen it all over TX. It is a strawberry soda that tastes kind of like bubble gum. There are many red soda's (I like to call them imitators) but only 1 Big Red. I can only imagine how good it would be in the vanilla shakes, SuperMom!

OK, y'all are grossing me out with the bubble gum soda and cream soda. Guess I'm still a Yankee at heart.

Now, Big Red GUM, I understand. Love the cinnamon.
