4th day of restart

Postby MomsTherapy » September 1st, 2005, 8:46 am

Monday I started my "restart". And so far I have lost 2lbs this week. That is great, except that is only getting me closer to the amount I had already lost, quit and then gained back. But that is okay. Im looking forward to Christmas. I watched the documentary SuperSize Me last night and it just reinforced my reasons for change. Im doing great this week.

So, thanks girls (and guys) for the ongoing support. Some of you have done SOOO wonderfully. I hope I can stick with it as you guys have and really get this done, for life. Im disappointed in myself because I know I can do better and 2 months have passed with not nearly enough headway. But that just shows me, and everyone else, if you don't give MF a full effort it won't do all it can do for you. My Mom has done great and lost 25lbs in 2.5 months with MF. Awesome!

My prayers are with all of those dealing with loses from Katrina. Please donate to the Red Cross - the minimum is $5, Most all of us can spare at least that much. You can donate online.

Hey Leah! I am on day 4 as well. I was able to get off 4.5 lbs but I know most of that was TOM weight. But feel great to be back on. I am suffering a bit w/ hunger and have had an extra supplement a day to keep me away from the dreaded peanut butter! But so far so good!

Thanks for your notes about Katrina as well. It is a terrible disaster and I agree 100% that we should all give to the red cross.

Have a great day and weekend!

Oh, no!

 Kids! No more of that PB talk...we'll have to mix some sugar free DaVinci with our Vaniller or Dutch Choc shakes to get our PB fixes satisfied or have a PB bar - they are very tasty frozen...remember, just ONE per day! ;)

I am quite certain that Jif puts something in their product (won't mention it!) that makes it addicting! ;)

Don't do it....step away from the peanut butter. I did the same thing for my son yesterday, but I ....shamefully....licked the spoon. No more of that. I felt awful as soon as I swallowed. Not worth it.

I hopped on the scales again today and Im down another 1.5lbs! So Im going to stay off the scales now until Monday and be a super food angel this weekend.

You all have a safe one!

I have been PB free since 8/29! Was very tempted yesterday bec. I let myself get too hungry between meals but I resisted! 3.5 lbs to go and I am not giving in NOW!
Thanks guys for the support. We need a nickname for the PB addicts on this group!

You PB Addicts are roof-toppers!

It's hard to talk and hide your addiction from others when ya have a glob of PB stuck to the roof of your mouth...

 ever get caught by a family member that asks you a question when you've just had a big hairy glob of the stuff and you are trying to be discreet as you leave the kitchen.... :x I hate it when that happens!

Ok we do eat more than PB and J but honestly - my husband asked for some today and I told him it had been ousted for the good of the MF population - yes of one. Didn't know there were so many of the faithful in our clan- Jiffy must have made a fortune off of us all. :) Mytime
