Great job 340. As noted, don't short yourself on the protein. Also, the idea with the green part is to ensure that you have a little variety. You can have 2 cups of the salad greens and then 1/2 cup of other veggies as well.

I do see in your medimeals that you seem to space them closer together than suggested. I don't know when you go to bed, but perhaps that last one may need to be spaced a little later to ensure that your body has the nutrition to repair itself while you sleep. Your schedule listed forr the next day seems to be a better spacing.

Hope all remains well.

The nurses call last week was about this very thing. "Less is not always better". The nurse had a client that had a severe gull bladder attack that put her in the hospital. She found out that the client was not adding fat servings when she ate the leaner and leanest foods so her gull bladder wasn't working properly. She also found out that she was skipping MF meals which was actually costing her lean muscle. It was a great call. If you are interested I have her notes from the call and found it very interesting and informative.

Congrats on sticking to it and trying to work it out!!

Why'd you only have half of the bar? I think you're supposed to eat the whole thing (but I don't eat them myself). Is it because you ate 7 instead of 6 times?

That's the other thing I saw - that you ate 7 times - 6 medimeals plus L&G - were you too hungry?

Also, I dunno about 7 ounces of chicken plus the FF dressing - maybe its OK if its FF becuase you still need the fat but I'm hoping an HA pipes up on this one.

Again, CONGRATS on workin it!!!! If you're not there yet, you'll get there really soon working it and getting feedback!

Wow! You are doing this diet perfectly. I think I would get a lot of suggestions if I logged my day down. :hide: I went the baby steps way. for the first month, i just made sure to get all five meals in and the lean and green and the water. Only now am I worrying about spacing them out just right. I guess my dietitian didn't want me to be overwhelmed with too many rules at once. :nutz:

I am sure however, if you are super compliant to plan from the get go you will loose weight faster! :drive: Good luck to you! I know your ticker will be speeding along!

Just wanted to say welcome 6-pack! Your last food log looks great! I'm sure you are keeping track of your water intake too. You'll be seeing results on the scale very quickly!

Keep up the good work! :cheermed:

As Kym asked, why half the bar? I would say have the bar and not the extra medimeal. Pretty good overall except that onions are not on the veggie list (they used to be, but were removed due to high carb content).

You are doing well though. When I first started I was adjusting things while I got used to the program, so no worries. Hang in there and everything will smooth out.

OK where was the EXTRA MF meal???? The reason for only 1/2 bar was just wanted something sweet! and thought I would eat 1/2 and the other 1/2 tomorrow!

thanks for all the encouragement!!!!

Hey 6-pack! Given that you get up so early I think you can allow yourself the extra meal. I remember Nancy advising my cousin to do that because of her long days. You don't want to go too long without a meal. So depending on what time you go to bed you could have that seventh supplement. I always have my last one no less than an hour before I go to bed.

<yawn> 6-pack, I'm up early too today - OUUUCH!!!

I'm giggling re your extra meal question - I counted 7 - well, 6.5 since you only ate half the bar...

1 - 5:30 Joint health Choc. shake (thanks Unca)

2 - 7:30 1/2 carmel nut bar

3- 9:30 Dutch Choc. Shake

4 - 11:30 2.5 lettuce .5 cuke & onion( 2 tablspoon fat free ranch) 7 oz Chicken

5 - 2:30 Choc. puddin'

6 - 5:00 Chicken Rice Soup

7 - 8:00 Bananna Shake

Make sense?

Have a good day! I'm off to speak at a conference for the day - I have four shakes made and in my brief case and just finished my yumm-o banana creme shake.

Have a good one!!

I know my sis got a little confused at the beginning too, only she was shorting herself. Remember the plan is 5 and 1... 5 MF meals and 1 LG unless you split your LG which would technically make it 5 and 2 halves.

While you added one you shorted yourself with the half bar so maybe it evened out. I have been told that it is much better to have to add a shake than to skip one and with your long days I really don't think the extra is a big deal. I think I heard somewhere (Mike maybe) that you shouldn't go more than 12 hours between your last meal and your first one.

Basically, what we are taught as HA's, and by reading the Quick Start Guide (the Medifast Bible as it were), the plan is set up the way it is for a reason. There is a science behind it.
We have 5 medimeals and 1 lean and green. If we follow the guidelines properly (especially as we get started), we have better success.
There are specific snack options outlined in the guide. I have strayed many times and kick myself everytime that I do. My suggestion is to have the 5 medimeals, have the lean and green, and if you need a snack... have one that is allowed.
Half a bar would not be on that list. Bars are higher in sugar. An 80 calorie snack is basically like having another medimeal (an RTD is 90).

I would suggest the basic snacks such as the MF soy crisps, MF cracker, MF fast soup, pickles, SF jello, SF popsicle, etc.

We are all here to help each other.... and I know others helped me alot

Not to mention the carbs!
Yeah, 6-pack ~ if all you want is something sweet,
I would suggest having an sf Jello (10 cal, 2 carbs)
or something like that.

You're doing great, btw...and you'll have this scheduling
thing licked in no time. It just takes some getting used to.
Pretty soon, it'll be old hat to you and you'll be piping in to
answer all the newbie questions yourself!
Ciao, dude.
