Wow...this is a wonderful website! I get my own journal space! Alright! :hi5:

Okay...a little bit about ME...

Well, I am 31 years old...mom to 'two' wonderful kids (1 year old and a 4 year old)....wife to 'one' husband :mrgreen:

I never thought about "weight" till after I had my first kid....not because I was/wasn't at a healthy weight...but because I never gave it much attention! After my first kid, I retained about 30 pounds more and started having trouble catching up with my kid and fitting into any of my old clothes...that's when it hit me...you know...thoughts about weight....I made some changes to diet (basically portion control) and slowly lost some of that weight....mean while I got pregnant with my second one and put on a ton of weight and am now struggling to loose it! :x

I am a working mom and after work, my kids keep me super busy...so, it's hard to spend time thinking and analyzing what I should/shouldn't be eating ... so, medifast seemed to be good where it eliminated thinking on my part ...YAY! :thumbsup:

If I reach my goal weight as planned, then I will make lot of people in my life happy....my husband....my parents....my in-laws....my brother...my cousins....and mostly myself. They are all worried about my weight, as being overweight is the first step leading to all sorts of health issues....and I do want to be a healthy gran-ma for my grandkids and help my children raise their kids the way my parents are helping me!...oh...and yeah....I want to weigh less than my hubby :oops: ....he is always at 158-160 since we got married and he is 5'11"! :roll:

Day 1

Let's see.....today I want to go with the following menu:

8:00 am -- oatmeal check
32 Oz water check
10:30 am -- shake check
32 Oz water check
1:00 pm -- pudding check
32 Oz water check
4:00 pm -- shake check
6:30 -- L & G check
8 Oz water check
8:30 pm -- pudding check

So far so good with my schedule!

First day went well...except that I had some cashew nuts which I later realized were not in the "OKAY" list! Oh..well! I will be careful next time!
But the good part is....I did it! No headaches....no feeling nauseous! Yay!

Day 2

With yesterday being a successful day (well, except for the cashew incident :oops: ), I started this day with a more positive outlook 8). Doing good so far.

8:00 am -- oatmeal check
32 oz water check
10:30 am -- shake check
32 oz water check
1:00 pm -- L&G (Egg White omelette with onions/tomatoes/cilantro...Yum!) check
32 oz water check
3:30 pm -- pudding check
6:30 pm -- shake check
8 oz water check
9:00 pm -- shake check

No cravings so far...I hope it stays that way! We are going to have some guests over on saturday for dinner....I am already nervous about all the food that's going to be there in the house...but then, I think I am motivated enough, to loose weight, that I won't be touching any of the no-no foods! :| :mrgreen: :|

Hi Momma, seems like you are doing good so far, the only thing I can say is I noticed some negitave words like "if I reach my goal weight as planned" and "I think I am motivated enough" You might wanna rethink that cause with MF...you DO, and you WILL reach your goal as long as you stick to it. No more nuts and carfull with the dinner with friends. You can still eat good and loose weight with MF.
Its nice to see you have started a journal, I know it helps me a lot :)

Thanks for the advise Elke and Dede! Ok...no more negative talk! I WILL stay STRONG and not touch any NO-NO foods during the dinner with friends on saturday. I am already planning on preparing two dishes that are in the "OK" list, so I will have something to eat as my L&G.

Thanks for the little push...now I am more determined not to even doubt myself of cheating!


Day 3

Yesterday was good but by the end of the day, I had a headache and felt nauseous :? . So, as soon as the kids were in bed, I called it a day and went to sleep. I feel better this morning except for the feeling of little tiredness.

Here's my schedule for the day:

8:00 am -- oatmeal check
32 oz water check
10:30 am -- shake check
32 oz water check
1:00 pm -- pudding check
32 oz water check
4:00 pm -- shake check
6:30 pm -- Garden Burger + Cabbage check
8 oz water check

Yesterday went pretty good. No headaches/nausea..YAY!! I sneaked onto a scale and am already down by 3 pounds!...another YAY!!! But I won't change my ticker till sunday.

Menu:

10:30 am shake check
32 oz water check
1:00 pm pudding check
32 0z water check
3:30 pm shake check
6:00 pm egg white omelette with spinach + onion check
8 oz water check
8:30 pm pudding check

Yesterday, my ketosis phase has started. I definitely had a sweet taste in my mouth all day long! I read on the boards somewhere that it is definitely ketosis! So....YAY! :thumbup:

Day 5

YOU ARE DOING SO GREAT!

Just a little comparison to spur you on...
We started at close to the same weight,
You have the goal of 50 pounds.

I am almost there, and you will get there, too. 'Course you are much younger and much taller :shock: You'll do it faster, I'm sure.
But slow is okay, too! I think it helps the skin tone to not lose too fast.
Plus it gives us time to learn how to eat, which is what got us to where we are in the first place.

Your eating schedule is good, too. Shows you are serious about this weight loss journey. :drive:

We are having guests over today. So, we prepared lots of authentic food at home. Mmmm....it's tempting....but I am controlling myself. Surprisingly, I am not really obsessed with that food....but have a "wish I could have a small bite" feeling! Oh...Well! I am so happy that I am not obsessed to eat that food. I don't feel hungry either! I will have to see how the rest of the day goes!

I was really tempted last night to have chicken biryani (Yum)...authentic indian food made with chicken and rice! But I controlled myself............I think I was successful because I wasn't hungry and I was looking forward to my pudding! So, let me pat my back for a good job last night!
