Day 13
Today I walked for about 2 and half miles...a brisk walk in the morning. It felt good. I had my first two meals...a shake on the go while at park with my kids and then at 10:30...a pudding.
The problem came at lunch hour...we were invited for lunch to a friend's place and...
I caved in (after lot of forcing, ofcourse)....had 1/2 a cup of rice! But atleast I didn't stuff myself with all that food...I just didn't want to upset my host as she really worked hard to make all that food...so, I had some (to be polite). I am planning on walking for another 2 and half miles tonight to compensate for that!
This is one big problem in our culture....we get invited a lot for lunches/dinners...if we don't go...it's rude...if we do go...we have to have the food they offer...atleast a little...otherwise it's plain rude
! I will try to avoid any invitations in future!
Weekdays are good...weekends are the trouble days for me! We have one get-together for next weekend....trip to chicago (to visit family) the weekend after...another one weekend after that...OMG...I am not sure how I can avoid all of the situations where I get offered some food and I reject it
<Sigh>
