Yesterday was okay overall....I had grilled chicken fajita minus tortillas for my L&G.....I remember reading that it counts as L&G in MF limits! Hope I was not wrong! Did my weigh-in, down 5 pounds...YAY!!!! I have to enter that in roll call and change my ticker after this post!

I did not have time to blog yesterday. But here it goes

Day 9

1 cup skim ricotta cheese + 1 cup cabbage check
12 oz water check
peach oatmeal cookie (not bad!) check

I went to the fair last night.....I wasn't even tempted once to eat anything over there! That's a big accomplishment for me as I love love love cotton candy! I got myself 1 diet coke...and took one sip and kept it aside to run after my 1 year old and she ended up running into the soda can.....so...I didn't even have that!!! :roll: :|

1:00 pm -- 1 and half cup part skim ricotta cheese check (:oops: I just learnt that I screwed up this one....I checked with medifast rep and this is a no-no!!! Darn'it! I feel so bad! :x Should have checked before having it!! :x When will I learn! Enough brooding over spilled milk! Gotta move on and take it as a lesson learnt! :oops: )

12 oz water check
8:30 pm -- pudding

I really want to get down to 150 by November 25th! Hope it's doable!

2FeelGood is not feeling very good right now! I am feeling very down because I messed up my ketosis phase!!! I know I have to pick myself up and moveon! I am hoping I can jump right back on the wagon tomorrow! :(

I will just wait for tomorrow....it will be a brand new day and brand new start!

How about if I sub my egg beaters? What is your recipe?

Lizabette,

Here's a recipe:

Egg whites (or Egg substitute)
1/2 cup chopped onions + chopped tomotoes
3/4 cup spinach (I used chopped frozen spinach...microwave it for 1-2 mins)
1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
Salt/pepper to taste

Mix well all the above ingredients...
Spray pan with Pam.....spread the above mixture on the pan.....it should be ready in about 5-10 mins (on medium heat)...Voila!

Day 12

After screwing up the other day, I am back in the first 3 days mode to get into ketosis phase. I felt hungry this morning...<DUH>...but that's okay....2 more days and I should be back in the game!

I made muffins out of vanilla berry oatmeals and dutch chocolate shakes for the entire day...so, I will have them as my 5 meals today. Next time I am planning on ordering bars. With water...I am doing good so far....around 110 ozs a day....it is doing wonders to my skin! I love it! For L&G, I will be having same as yesterday... omlette. I like it a lot!

Being on medifast and going through their recipes, gives me lot of ideas on how I can make healthy food (including muffins, cookies and stuff) for the entire family! I have a cooking date with my 4 yr old to bake some healthy cookies this evening...he is very excited about it!

I sneaked on the scale this morning and my mistake the other day has resulted in a 0.5# gain <bummer>! Hope I can loose that and some more by monday, so I will have something to show during roll call!

Day 13

Today I walked for about 2 and half miles...a brisk walk in the morning. It felt good. I had my first two meals...a shake on the go while at park with my kids and then at 10:30...a pudding.

The problem came at lunch hour...we were invited for lunch to a friend's place and... :oops: I caved in (after lot of forcing, ofcourse)....had 1/2 a cup of rice! But atleast I didn't stuff myself with all that food...I just didn't want to upset my host as she really worked hard to make all that food...so, I had some (to be polite). I am planning on walking for another 2 and half miles tonight to compensate for that!

This is one big problem in our culture....we get invited a lot for lunches/dinners...if we don't go...it's rude...if we do go...we have to have the food they offer...atleast a little...otherwise it's plain rude :? ! I will try to avoid any invitations in future!

Weekdays are good...weekends are the trouble days for me! We have one get-together for next weekend....trip to chicago (to visit family) the weekend after...another one weekend after that...OMG...I am not sure how I can avoid all of the situations where I get offered some food and I reject it :(

Day 14

I am going to give this another try.....if I can't do this and end up breaking it due to whatever reasons, I am thinking I will just quit this and find something else that more suits my life-style! I have a week's worth of medi-items left...I hope I can do this atleast for 1 more week without having to break it in the middle!

2feel,

Each time you refuse the forceful "friends", you become stronger. They will soon lose interest and stop pushing the junk on you. No one can force you to eat off plan unless they hold you down and cram it in your mouth.....they didn't do that, did they? You just need to tell them to lay off, that you are doing what is healthy and right for you.
