1st week of transition down!

All that hard work and now what? Let's talk about how to keep those pounds off...

1st week of transition down!

Postby gr8bnme » May 5th, 2006, 6:52 am

So my first week of transition is over. It was quite uneventful. A extra cup of veggies for a week is kinda boring to me. Although since being on Medifast, I've learned to love veggies (which is really weird for me). Anyway, I weighed today and my weight went up by .5 this week, which i don't think matters much. i didn't lose the 2 pounds so I still weigh 122. Oh well, (i'm learning to get over the 120 number -- will the 2 pounds really make a difference? i don't think so).

so today is my first day to eat fruit!!! i'm so excited and i've never in my life been excited about fruit. i will also only have 4 supplements. i brought an apple to have for my 3pm meal. i hope i really like it. i never really cared for fruit before. maybe my tastes have changed. i'll let you know. and hopefully my weight will stay at 122. until next week...

Congratulations and thanks for sharing! I hope you'll continue to post about your transition.....it's such a critical time. I lost all my weight twice on MF and transition was my downfall. Be careful and stick closely to it and you'll be fine. I only wish I'd been more careful when I transitioned...and didn't follow a maintenance plan at all. This time I'm determined to do it right and keep it off when I get there. I hope you'll post a lot! I'd like to see more postings at the transition and maintenace forums......when you get to goal THEN the hard work of keeping it off begins!

Your success is inspiring!

Thanks everyone. and i totally agree that maintenance is the scariest/hardest part of the weight journey. the strict rules of the loss stage are gone in a way and you are a free eating spirit. i'm hoping i will be able to maintain the view of food that i now have. if i can do that, i think i can be successful. but i'm very scared about successfully maintaining. i think i can do transition cuz there are rules for me to follow. i'm good at rules.

btw, i ate the apple. yummy :-P
