1st goal met

Postby Lady Bug » July 19th, 2005, 11:34 am

Hi everyone:

Tim, move me over.........I've hit the 1st goal of 10 lbs. I am very very excited. I know I'm on my way and this is the 1st 10 of 50 I've lost.

Latley, (since the 4th), I've been reading the posts (truly enjoyed reading about the successes) and not adding as there has been this cloud :lightening: over me the last 2 weeks. I've been in bed or on the couch with my Fibromyalgia. I have it really bad and I know I haven't mentioned it before but thought I would so in case you don't hear from me for a few days, it's not that I've quit the program, it's that it hurts to even blink some days. :puter: But hence my name "Want to be Healthy", I know when I lose this weight I have done all I can do to help myself. So when I hurt, I don't have to think it's partly my fault. I can't expect the Dr to help me if I don't help myself........right? :hammerhead:

I hae to tell you, last month, I saw the cutest little (short) black skirt at Kohls and I was thinking yesterday that when I'm better, I should go buy that skirt. What an incentive. I agree with the commercial that every older woman should own a short skirt. And I'm about to own one. I'm going to hang it on my bedroom door so it's a constant reminder.!!!!!! :kool:

Kristi: just a note to you. I am sooo proud of you (tears in my eyes). he he ..(just an emotional ole' fool) You truly have and do keep me going. The best to you.

Evie ;)

Hi Want to be Healthy

Great job on losing 10 pounds! That is Fantastic. I am sorry to hear you have Fibromyalgia, a friend of mine has it also and I know it is a hard thing to endure. I hope you get feeling better soon! I just did the dream clothes too! I bought a super cute pair of jeans ( cant remember the last time I wore jeans, mostly I wear old lady stretch pants..YUCK!) and I have them hanging in my kitchen if you can imagine! And you know what ? I WILL wear them, just like you WILL wear your cute little black skirt!! Keep up the good work

Sweet Evie congratulations!! I'm sorry to hear of your troubles and I am a FIRM believer in HELP THYSELF and then Strike fear in the hearts of the doctors that treat you 8) hehe That was a HUGE part of my problem with my weight and diabetes. I was deteriorating at a fast pace and I'm only 35  Being diagnosed with Diabetes at age 31 is horrible and not a very good outlook for a long life if I didn't do something. It took me 4 years to care enough about myself to do something. I don't know anything about your disease, but now I'm going to investigate and educate myself so I can be the best support possible.

Congratulations on your 10lbs and bless your heart for thinking of me too.

And fatfree........I'll bet you $10 bucks that you'll forget to try those pants on until they're already to big  We have such a hard time seeing our successes and realizing that we have REALLY gotten that much smaller! Keep me posted on those pants :D

Hope you're all having a great week!
