I think you really ARE going to like this place. They seem, so far, like considerate people. If they are all taking you to lunch everyday, maybe it will just be to the hospital cafeteria. If so, I bet you can get salad! You are going to do great. I just know it. I am so happy for you!!

You did exactly what I would have done, given the same situation. No sense embarassing all your new co-workers. I'm sure you ate sensibly and are back on plan today. Thanks Guys. This place is great and I'm really enjoying the friendliness of the whole institution. The hospital that I left was a 1000+ bed facility with around 12,000 employees; whereas, this is a 300 bed facility with about 1700 employees. I've met one person that has been there six months but everyone else has tenure levels of 20 years plus. Looks like people hang around for a while. With treatment like this, why would anybody leave? Off to another great day!!!
