Um, okay, so I'll post my stats. Not sure if we decided which spots were going to count for measurements (cause I measure everything). I didn't start until 2/4 and that's when I took the measurements.

Starting weight 223.0 current weight 200.8 down 22.2 total

Neck was 14.75 now 14 -.75
the girls were 45.5 now 42 -3.5
underneathem 40.75 now 38 -2.75
true waist was 41 now 37 -4
hips were 48.75 now 43.5 -5.25
thigh 27.5 now 25.75 -1.75
bicept 14.5 now 13.75 -.75

total inches lost in those areas (those are what Bren has posted) 19.25 inches. Unfortunately for me the measurements haven't changed much since the last time I measured (4/15). Here's hoping for a bigger month this time.

Well, I am not great at math and even worse at percentages which I know we had agreed to judge this by. I am willing to put it to a vote of everyone who participated to decide who we all think won in each catagory. That is, once everyone turns in their stats.

Anybody else have any suggestions?

Um, yah, what you said...not such a math wiz here. When you figure it out let me know cause I don't have a clue! Maybe that science guy can help us out!

Is anyone else going to check in with us??

I'm inclined (after conferring with the powers that be) that the best way to tell would be to go by percent change of body weight. Since all bodies are not created equal, the person with the least amount of body weight remaining at the end would win.
So, take your ending weight and divide it by the ending weight and multiply by 100. This would give your percentage of body weight remaining after the contest.

If someone were to go by inches, I would say that isn't going to be as fair of a comparison. If one were to really want the best comparison of fat loss, then I suppose doing the body fat analysis before and after would be best... but who has time to go get in the pool and have the measurements for that made.

Anyhow, thats my 2 cents.

So, according to the two that have given totals thus far:

Skye was: (200.8/223.0)*100 = 90.04%
RM was: (212/234.5)*100 = 90.41%
Krissss was (183/201.5)*100 = 90.82%

I couldn't find information on Katesmom starting point or ending point, so I couldn't check hers.

Anyhow, it appears that Skye has the lowest remaining weight percentage, so by that, I would say, as of this posting, she is the leader.

Hope this helps.

Ok - so that works for the pounds lost part. Can you do the same thing for the inches lost? We had decided that we were going to do half and half - meaning a weight winner and an inches winner.

I would guess that we would use a percentage of total inches lost??

You can't do a percentage for inches lost. You can only do a total for inches lost (which wouldn't really be a fair determinant due to the fact that some have more inches to lose and bodies are shaped differently).

With weight you have a before and after to figure out a ratio. With inches, you don't... you just have a total inches.

According to the 7 measures that Skye and RM both listed (not counting Calves) they are:

Skye: 18.75" (not sure where the 19.25" was?)
RM: 16"
Krissss: 12"

Personally, I think you all did a fabulous job. Although there is apparently a money winner, I think you are still winners (and, well losers ;) ).

Woohoo! did I win? Is anyone else going to check in with us? I don't remember who all played.

*sidebar-the 19.25 inches lost was with the calves included...I musta missed typing it somehow.

I just went back through some of the pages here and was laughing at all the trash talking going on. I was definitely entertained.

Hey all! Thanks so much for the congrats. I told everyone when the contest started that I really needed something to motivate me to move again.

So thank you to all for all the well wishes and congratulations. I seem to get complacent about this all too often. So thanks.

And I don't know what the pot got up to before we ended. But I'm buying a new outfit!

I guess I am too late.. official stats day I left on vacation and didn't have time to post. But I did take my measurements the day before I left, so here it is.

Start weight 28 jan: 392.4#
Weight 7 may: 362.2#
Total lost: 30.2

I didn't post neck measurements before, but it was 16", now 15", -1"
24" arms before, 19.75" now -4.25"
64" bust before, 56" now -8"
55" bra before, 47" now -8"
57" waist before, 52" now -5"
61" hips before, 58.75" now -2.25"
35" thigh before, 31.5" now -3.5"
25" calf before, 23.5" now -1.5"

So total inches lost was 33.5", but if we don't count calf then it was 32" lost.
