Sundance Leadership TrainingsNancy and I attended the initial Sundance Leadership event in October 2006. It is refreshing to be affiliated with a company that is growing and expanding, a company that is forward focused, a company where EVERYONE receives benefit, from the client who is getting physically healthy to the Health Coach supporting his clients and being generously compensated by TSFL. This is particularly relevant during this down economy in 2009. In 2006, the Sundance Leadership event was initiated to provide an advanced training for health coaches serious about building a successful TSFL business and securing their future. This event was initiated through the vision of Dr Wayne Andersen, medical director of Medifast and Take Shape For Life and co-founder of Take Shape For Life and Dan Bell, Presidential Director with Take Shape For Life. Robert Fritz, composer, filmmaker and organizational consultant, is known for his work defining the creative process in developing what you desire to achieve in life. 
He was invited to be the keynote speaker and trainer at this initial Sundance Leadership event and a deeper relationship was immediately established. One of the ideas he taught us was the concept of Structural Tension. This describes the creative process assisting you in achieving your goals through the process of stating your current reality, defining what you desire to create, then identifying the action steps needed to attain that result. This concept alone has transformed the business of many Take Shape For Life Health Coaches, including ours. Sundance is located in the beautiful mountains outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, and was founded by Robert Redford, actor, film maker and producer. It was selected by our visionary leader, Dr Wayne Andersen because of the attitude of creativity attributed to the Sundance Film Festival atmosphere. Dr Andersen felt this location was one where creative growth for TSFL could and should take place. Since 2006, it has proven to be an excellent choice. Nancy and I have qualified and attended each of these training events and have enjoyed not only the training but the gorgeous scenery.
