Nancy and I have been with Take Shape For Life since its inception, January 1, 2003. We have been involved in much of the expansion of the training network developed on the corporate level, the field leadership level, and on the regional and local levels. This has been done in progressive, developmental stages determined by the expansion of the Health Coach bio-network in the field. As a New York Stock Exchange company, Medifast, Inc, our parent company, was established in 1980 and makes the premier PCMR’s (Portion Controlled Meal Replacements) we use in our safe, fast weight loss. Our business is growing by 10-15% a month in an economy where many businesses are closing their doors, laying off workers and alarmed with regard to future regulations upon their business and what that may mean for their future. They are apprehensive about their future, at best.

Many Health Coaches are seeing an even greater growth in their independent businesses. The amount of growth is dependent upon a Health Coach’s consistent and persistent effort in duplicating the actions taught. These duplicable actions are taught to the Health Coach by his Business Coach or Business Leader. Nancy and I learned from our Business Leader and now we, as Business Leaders, teach our Health Coaches these duplicable actions.

Other factors contributing to the growth and success of a Health Coach’s business are the trainings made available to help them build their business. These may be on the local, regional or national level and when attended are instrumental in assisting the Health Coach to move his TSFL business on to the next level. To be candid with you as you read this, Nancy and I love this part of our business. There is no greater joy for us than to help a Health Coach totally change their lives through their efforts in their business whether that is on the Leadership level or working with Health Coaches on the regional and local level. These trainings take many forms which will be pictorially documented in this segment of the MakeMeThinner blog.

This is currently the breakdown of available trainings offered and the trainings that Nancy and I participate in each year:

Take Shape For Life Corporate Trainings

• National Convention – Summer – Celebration – Education – Recognition

• Go-Global – Spring – For leaders training for Global Director
• Sundance Leadership – Fall in Sundance Utah – Robert Redford’s Mountain Resort – For leaders building structure in their businesses
• Super Saturdays – Held on weekends in different locations around the USA – Lead by Dr Wayne Andersen and Presidential Dan Bell – prospective clients and coaches are invited to these by the area Health Coaches

• Regional trainings are led by Business Leaders in the different regional areas who have grown a large business
• Local trainings are held by independent Business Coaches/Leaders for their own teams

There are a variety of additional trainings held by independent Coaches and in all cases standardized, duplicable strategies and tools are used. Nancy and I are training new leaders on every level in our business every month and encourage higher level leaders to attend the regional and national offerings to help build their businesses. There is an element of training in each of the other categories under Business Events as well. These will also be added to pictorially over the future weeks and months.
