Business EventsWe welcome you to the business side of our MakeMeThinner blog. It is one of the primary reason why Nancy and I live the life we currently enjoy. It is the business element that has enabled us to transform our financial circumstances just as the Take Shape For Life program empowered us to reclaim our physical health. Nancy safely lost 135 lbs in seven months and I lost 60 lbs in 4 months. This has added quality and longevity to our lives. Becoming a Take Shape For Life Health Coach has permitted us to enjoy travels and adventures (chronicled in this blog) throughout the United States as well as fully enjoy our two grandsons. All this at a time when most Americans are struggling just to make ends meet and pay their bills. These freedoms are possible because we attended our first Take Shape For Life business event, the first annual TSFL National Convention in Orlando, FL, in 2003. Our business genesis in 2003 can be attributed to Nancy and I making a decision; a decision and choice to change our lives by attending a business event. You can make that choice as well! Primary in changing your life is finding a vehicle that helps you accomplish your life goal. For Nancy and I, that vehicle was building a Take Shape For Life business by helping thousands get healthy. The goal of the business side of our MakeMeThinner blog is to chronicle our journey in that life change. You may see your circumstances mirrored to ours when we started our transformational journey in July of 2002. Know that YOU, too, can change your current circumstances by making that choice and applying it with the right vehicle. We are now experiencing exponential growth with the monthly addition of new Health Coaches seeking to join Dr [...] Nancy Pettit hosts the Wednesday night maintenance and transition call for Take Shape For Life. Heading home after eight days in Iowa. We decided to return by way of Wisconsin to Minneapolis. We crossed from Iowa to Wisconsin at Lansing, Iowa. We drove north to La Crosse where we crossed into Minnesota and drove on Interstate 90 and connected to Interstate 52 at Rochester, then up to Minneapolis. There are many Take Shape For Life information and support meetings being held throughout the United States each day. On every Wednesday evening, Lee Anderson and Adam Nevermann hold their meeting at the Farmers & Merchants Savings Bank in Waukon, Iowa. What a privilege to be visiting our team in Waukon, Iowa. This is the seventh day of our trip teaching and training our Take Shape For Life team here in the Midwest. In addition, we’ve enjoyed the people, the history, the wonderful sights of the agricultural element the people living in the heartland enjoy. We’ve discovered that even here in the [...] Today we took a little time off and headed north to ‘Harmony’, Minnesota, to enjoy another part of our ‘melting pot’ America, the Amish community. The Amish adhere to their religious heritage and seem to be very strictly aligned in this area with their beliefs. We spent much of the day preparing for tonight’s program presentation at Java John’s Coffee House in Decorah, IA. This is the first information meeting to be held in Decorah. It’s being sponsored by Lauri K, a brand new Health Coach in Decorah. I’m sure this will be the first of many successful meetings in [...] We headed out today to view the Effigy Mounds, a National Monument highlighting an ancient indian culture. Our personal guide of this area was Adam Nevermann, our Executive Director partner here in Waukon, IA. We learned they buried their warriors and elderly under mounds and then shaped many of these burial grounds into different wildlife figures such as bears [...] Nancy and I awakened a little apprehensive this morning. Today is the 5k run which the event organizers call the 5k Elvelopet. Everything has a Norwegian twist to it during the Nordic Fest. In fact, walking around today and speaking with many of the people attending this weekend, I noticed that many of them didn’t [...] |
