I'm back! We had a great time in Colorado but I missed everyone. Our connection at the place we stayed was horrible and I was never able to get online. I haven't had a chance to catch up on everyone's journals yet but will later.

I was not compliant the whole time and will find out the damage in the morning. When I did eat off plan I made sure it was low carb and low fat. I did have a lot of salads with a chicken breast. Anyway, yesterday I was right back on program with no problem.

Have to get this football program done by Tuesday night to go to print on Wednesday. My surgery is Wednesday morning so I'll be checking in briefly until I can get up and move around after the surgery.

Have a great day!

End of week 10, lost 2.5 lbs.

Guess I didn't do so bad on vacation after all.

Been a very bad morning. One of my sons friends was accidentally shot and killed about 12:30 last night by another one of his friends. Terrible tragedy.

I'll write more later, must get to work.

I am so sorry to hear about the accident. How is your son doing with all of this?

Thank you both for your concern. My son is doing fair but in a little bit of shock. He and his friends are spending the day together and gathering up pictures so I guess, in a way, that's therapy for them.

I'll check back later.

What a terrible thing to have happen. It is heartwrenching to even think about all the implications and feelings for everyone who knows the two young men.

Hello everyone and thanks so much for all the prayers. I have found out a lot more about what went on that night.

There was a police chase from a neighboring town going on and the guy wrecked his car in our neighborhood and was on foot. Well, news travels fast in our very small town and apparently the boys decided they were going to load a gun to protect themselves. The boy that died was playing russian roulette thinking the gun he was using was broke. He was trying to scare the other guy, just as a joke....which he did, but the second time he pulled the trigger it went off. Why ANYONE would put a loaded gun to their head is beyond my comprehension; it has been ruled an accidental homicide. Apparently this boy's father collected guns and his mom gave him the combination to the gun safe when he turned 18 (the father was killed 4 or 5 years ago in a car crash). I feel so sorry for this family, please continue to keep them in your prayers.

I still have not had a chance to catch up on everyone's journals. I thought I was completely thru with the football program but found out I have others that want to run ads so I guess that is what my weekend will consist of. Guess I will catch up next week with everyone.

I appreciate all of you and your support and I miss being in the loop of everything that is going on :( I'll check back from time to time.

This past week was a hard one and I'm really glad it is over with. I just finished the football program this evening and hope the printer is satisfied with it and needs nothing else from me. My son is doing better and his friends are too.

I look absolutely horrible since the surgery I had Wednesday was on my face so I guess I'll be inside for the next month scrapbooking (nothing wrong with that) and letting all the bruising heal. At least I feel like I'm on the downward slope of the busy summer and can concentrate on other things.

Exercise will be on the agenda next. As soon as I am able to, I'm going to start walking again.

I'm tired, going to bed.

Donna, I'm sorry I didn't remember to wish you well on Wednesday. I hope the bruising doesn't take too long to fade (I heal slowly, so I'd be hiding indoors for weeks, too). Take care.
