Hello everyone:

I went a little off track last night. I woke up about 2:00 AM to check email and there wasn't anyfrom Dennis. Instead of going right back to bed like I should have, I grabbed some cookies (5) and just sat here in the dark and ate them. I'm so kicking myself but that isn't going to do it either.

The scales didn't show anything but I know I'm probably not in ketosis now. Dog gone it !!!!!!!!!!!! Wish I wouldn't of ate tem, but at the time.........well, you know. It sounded good.

Like I said before, I know he's OK...just away from communication for awhile. I will post as soon as I hear and after I let his brothers and sister know he's OK......

Take care and thanks for taking my hand (in so many ways), :stroll:

;) ,
Evie

Hi Evie,
Well, they are down the "hatch" so don't beat yourself up. I know you're going to be very very good now. You held on for quite some time!!
Now I would take Donna's suggestion and have someone put the cookie jar away!! And then .... don't search for it. :D

Evie ~

I really admire you for telling us how you are - so often I told people I was 'fine' when I wasn't so fine. Darlin', 5 cookies' worth of cals/carbs got used up in energy expenditure in just a jif from that self-kicking; you're already back in ketoland!

It's gotta be so hard to wait. I prayed for you and Dennis tonight.

It will be the gladdest thing ever when you walk by your :puter: computer and hear, "ding! You've got mail."

Love & prayers

Evie-

I don't know how you only stopped at 5 so bravo on not woofing them all down. Please tell me the cookie jar is now safely hidden?

You are under a great amount of stress the knowing/not hearing thing. Each day I log on to see if you have heard from him so I too am keeping a vigil.

Hang in there - as you know, we are all here for you!

Confession is good for the soul so you are cleansed and forgiven -- NOW GET SHAKING!!!! ;)

Thanks again for remembering Den in your prayers, I know he appreciates it. I certainly do.

Evie Girl ~

You deserve some kinda special :trophy: award for :sheepjump: avoiding the cupboard & refrigerator. May the angels of the Lord set a guard before them and may they continue to protect Dennis and his companions! :lightsword:

Dennis called!!! Dennis Called!!!

:whoohoo: :whoohoo: :whoohoo:    :yay: :yay: :yay: :woohoo: :bouncieball: :bouncieball:

Dennis called and he is all right. He's been remote and has been nowhere around communication. He said he kept thinking.... "Mom, I'm OK...just know that I'm OK" !!!!

The relief, oh my, just to hear his voice. I cried and I cried. But they were happy tears. It has been over an hour since I talked with him, but after getting composed, I needed to make calls to the rest of the family.....

And now it's time to again say thank you to everyone who had Den in their thoughts and prayers. Thank you, thank you so much.

I was getting almost despondent. My thoughts were getting a little bit more than I could handle..... the mind can be your worse enemy !!!! And mine was getting to be just that....

I need to call some friends, again thank you. Your thoughts were so comforting.

Thank you and God Bless,
Evie

 What?

Ya just heard from that rascally Dennis?

All I can say is, :whoohoo: :sheepjump:  :bananadance: :bouncie: :whoohoo: :sheepjump:  :bananadance: :bouncie:

I was :felix: pacing the floor myself, trying to think of something juicy to say to you, praying and reading out loud one of my favorite verses from Isaiah 41 where it says,
Do not fear, for I am with you;

Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you; surely I will help you,

Surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.’

I doinked on my :puter: 'puter and found your wonderful post!

I know you were getting anxious and it is very understandable. Evie, we love ya Little Darlin'. None of us are exempt from having the crappy times come along - it is always easier to deal with a weight loss program during the happies and to abandon it during the crappies but you showed yourself and others that it IS possible to lose a pound (maybe more - we'll see on Sunday!). You showed your true colors - you can hang tough during the tough times!

DenDen, what a gladsome day it is to hear that you are safe and back online. We want you to know that we love you and are appreciative for your service to our country and for your example of a man that fulfills his commitment. Thank you!

Let's raise a waterglass toast to Evie and Den! :pour: :water:

Hi everyone:

In the past few weeks, I honestly don't know what I would have done without this forum. I found myself on the laptop a lot, waiting for that message from Dennis to pop up and I read every single post from each and everyone of you. Sometimes more than once...... and the encouragement was beyond anything that I could ask for. The weight loss stories/advise are always interesting and helpful but your concern for Den's well being and my sanity was so heart warming. I cried (a lot) when I read them cuz I really felt like my heart was breaking but I actually heard your prayers and felt your concern. I'm not very good with words but I hope I'm getting my thoughts across. Thank you.

Nancy. there's a reason you are the Lepoard One, :leopard: , The Formerly FLABulous and Now very Fabulous one, and the inspirational one. It's because you know what to say and what to do and you just do it.

I'm sure eveyone on the forum would agree, we couldn't do it without you. You are priceless!!!

See you at roll call,
Evie ;)

Hi Evie,
I am sooooo happy for you!!! I am sooo happy Den called and your worry has been lifted. I understand. I once caused a real commotion over several states when my then 26 year old was on a trip to Lake Tahoe in the snow and I couldn't get him on the phone. There were other kids involved and pretty soon there were 4 moms all worried. Hmmmm
Moms we understand!!
