Hi everyone.
Got back late last night.
Thanks to all of you. Made it thru with out cheating once.
I know now I can make it all the way. It feels good.
We did a hike up a hill around 1/2 mile up & 1/2 mile down.
Then today My husband, daughter and myself took a 1 1/2 mile walk.
My daughter is only 4. She couldn't walk any more.

My husband has 2 friends over & 2 kids besides mine.
I cooked them all supper. Different stuff for the kids. All food that I like. It didn't bother me at all.

Started last Tuesday. I weight myself today ( Monday ) I lost almost 8#. I'm 2 oz. shy.

This feels so good.

Nancy,
I seen a lot of bugs In the last four days.
There was 16 people there. I told everyone what you said.
They thought it was great. They all helped me think of different things .
It become a little game. It was fun.

Thank so much everyone, for your help.

That is fantastic! You did GREAT! :bravo: 8lbs is also a great start, if you plan on losing 100, you only have 92 more to go!!! That sounds like a step in the right direction.

Nancy, the part about making food gross is something I need to do a little more of. Thanks for the reminder!

Dear Mommy2girls ~

re: gross outs...you know, there are times in our foody lives when we do what we have to do - not everyone has such a vivid imagination as I do but it has sure helped me on occasion to visualize food in skanky ways.

I also keep thinking about the importance of living to enjoy my grandson and great grandkids. Almost all people have an innate desire to leave a legacy and to make a difference in the lives of their fellow man/woman/kid/person and I certainly want to do that - I do not want to be a burden to my husband, my bro or our daughter - I want to add to the value of the lives of the people with whom I come in contact...with that said, I look at my Medifast and my program as my medication - my daily medicine that keeps me truckin' along.

Greasy stuff clogs my arteries and slows down my ticker – I have fewer ticks and tocks left from the years of abundance so now it is important for me to choose wisely. All choices have consequences; not all consequences are bad. I am trying to make more good food choices so that I have better health consequences now and in the future. I don’t always choose wisely but I sure make improved choices now.

We have grown accustomed to the idea of immediate gratification and have been told a lie that we deserve it all – we cannot have it all – all of it is not good for us – and all is not necessarily what is best for us.

You are young and it is neat that the changes and lifestyle you are learning now will enable the future years to be better for you and your family.

M2G - First off GREAT JOB !!!!! Secondly, I find it helps if in the moment I remind myself that X food item is not gone FOREVER - it is just not an option for NOW. I tell myself that X is the very first thing I will have when I am on maintenance. It is not going anywhere. For some reason it works for me and I can assure you I have had many first maintenance meal fantasys. The nice thing is that they are less appealing and less frequent the longer I am on MF. I can say with an honest heart that I used to say things like if it is green I don't eat it and I don't like fruit in my food on a regular basis. On the 5 and 1 I have come to realize that I like greenbeans and actually LOVE broccoli. Never thought it would come past these lips but now I treasure it. The best is yet to be. Hang tough you are doign really great really great !!!! Mytime

re:

Now, now! That's my husband's motto!

Seriously...nothing green ever passed his lips until he started Medifasting. He used to eat an occasional green bean if it had bacon hunks and a gob of butter or a few leaves of iceberg lettuce with 1/2 cup of bleu cheese dressing...he still prefers meat and fish over vegetables but he actually loves spinach, Romaine and tomatoes now. He still refuses broccoli, cauliflower and cucumber...

As time goes by, it is amazing to like the taste of salad without dressing...

You are doing so well! Proud of you, Kiddo!
