I will add your family to my prayer list..In fact I just said one for them and will continue each day..I sure hope he gets better soon. It is a terrible thing to see our loved ones suffer and be in pain and know there is really nothing we can do but ask God to intervene for us.. My prayers are with you and your family..
Glad you are MF ready.. So glad to have you siked up to get on with it and lose a bunch of those unwanted pounds..  Have a great week.. Martha

Hey Kelly! Sorry, I didn't realize you were the Kelly I pm'ed at the other site ;) Great to see you here and awesome to see you losing!

I'll be joining ASAP too! :bananadance: (I  that banana, hehehe!)

Also, I dig your nickname seeing as you are a geologist! Funny, I used to be an archaeologist, so maybe I should take up the moniker of Dirt

Martha, thank you so much for your thoughts... you are such a kind person! You are really a beacon of support on this board. Thank you for all your wonderful posts.

Ok, off to the shower to get my heeny into work! Hi ho, hi ho...

Hey Sarah, it's great to find you over here! :) And way to go for beginning your MF journey afresh! I just know that you'll do it this time and be, what my friend in the UK calls, a "stripped down racing snake" before you know it!

I'm so terribly sorry for the trials you and your family have been through lately. You're all in my thoughts and I hope all is well. I'm certainly cheering you and your family on with my kindest regards.

I wish you the very best of luck possible and GO YOU for getting back on the MF wagon!

Alisha :rose:

I too am facing the loss of a beloved person in my life, and he is only 46. I will remember your uncle in my prayers; please remember my almost-brother in yours.

And good luck back on track. I know exactly what you mean -- there are some days where the only good thing in my life is being on MF and knowing I'm in control of at least one thing, and am losing weight.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for my uncle!

(Hey Alisha! nice to see you too heh!)

My uncle seems to be making slight progress day by day but he is still very sick, on a ventilator, and all that goes along with ICU. However, his nurses are excellent, and his doctor is very on top of things... so we can only wait and hope.

24K, I will add my voice to others for your almost-brother.

DING!

I placed my TSFL order tonight... soon I will have a gigantic cardboard box waiting for me on my porch - by Friday I hope! :)

The tale of The Geek: (the clueless Geek that is)

I had to scout around to find a mostly-free fax service on the Internet because I found tonight that once you go cable-phone-service (ie Vonage), your old 56K data/fax modem has no Ma Bell telephone hook-up to the outside world - DUH - and will not function.

I was too impatient to wait to bring my print-out with me into work Tuesday so... voila... through the magic of Google, I found a cheap deal with a $1 credit towards free faxing, which I used 36 cents of, heh!

WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO I am going to be DROPPING POUNDS SOON! Party!

:git: And now... for your evening enjoyment... I have composed a little song for you!

The Medifast Song
(sung to the tune of "Home on the Range")

Oh, give me a home, where the Ready-to-Drink roam,
Where the Bars and the Icy Shakes play,
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
And the scales are not cursed all day.

Chorus:
Home, home on the range,
Where the Bars and the Icy Shakes play,
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
And the scales are not cursed all day.

2nd Verse:
Where the mix is so pure, the support so free,
The Advisors so balmy and light,
That I would not exchange my Jar on the counter
For all the pizzas at night.

Chorus

3rd Verse:
Oh, give me a land where the boxes of 'Fast
Flow leisurely down the stream;
Where the graceful Leopard goes gliding along
Like a maid in a heavenly dream.

Chorus

4th Verse:
The pudge was pressed from this part of the waist,
It's likely no more to return
To the tops of your thighs where seldom if ever
The forbidden plates do burn.

Chorus

5th Verse:
How often at night when the foodie ads are bright
With the light of the taunting buffet flashes,
Have I stood here amazed and asked as I gazed
If their glory exceeds that of our weekly weigh-in bashes.

Chorus

6th Verse:
Oh, I love these wild Posters in this dear land of ours;
The Roll-Call I love to hear yell;
And I love the white French Vanilla and the Dutch Chocolate too
That fill up our stomachs so well.

Chorus

7th Verse:
Then I would not exchange my home on the range,
Where the Bars and the Icy Shakes play,
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
And the scales are not cursed all day.

:flip: Saddle up, Pardner!

Your song is snort-worthy! Totally great! Love, love, love, it!

This week is gonna be a good one for so many people! Your song can be hummed and it will remind us all to make choices that lead to a happy day and a healthier heart.

I am happy that you are going to be back in the saddle and on your way to Thinville - this time you will be on the fast-track to losing the whole enchilada and be one hotsy totsy Tamale.

Keep us posted about your uncle.

GOooooooOD MORNING MY MF BUDS! :D

Yikes, been up since about 6 am, futzing around, am about to jump in the shower to get ready for going out with my dad. We are going to a German Folk Festival in Hunter Mountain, NY, full of yodeling .... schnitzel :bib:..... beer :toast:...... My first German thing ever (I'm just 1/4 German but my dad's father was 100% Old Country, heh!). Should be fun... I'll post about it upon my return tonight before :snooze:

It is my LAST foodie day before I begin tomorrow! NO regrets!

I know as soon as I awake Sunday morning, I will be in the MF Zone. Nothing will deter me. This time, I am going to plan plan and plan some more, and have lots of activities to distract me from all food seductions.

Some recent re-directers include photos taken of me at work at a BBQ we had a few weeks ago... yowsa... I knew my thighs were large, but I think the Lilliputians have staked them out for two new countries. ;) Speaking of schnitzel, my legs looked like sausages in my jeans... not very attractive... But in a couple months, those jeans will be positively baggy! (Shrinking photos to come!)

I am already starting to look forward to my MF Oatmeal hehehe! (Seriously!)

I am also excited about my Official starting Weigh-In tomorrow morning... maybe I'll even beat LilMsTexas to the Roll Call

I'm glad you all loved the Medifast Song :) :) It cracks me up that Martha taped it up HA! AWESOME.

My uncle is still in the hospital, hanging in there... his docs say he seems to be getting a tiny bit better every day, but is still very fragile. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers... they are working I think

Good day to all!

HAVE A GREAT TIME-- and hurry back to us.. One thing I have learned is we are our own worse critics.. I bet you don't look half as bad as you say in those Jeans.. I too look foreward to your baggy pants pictures..Have a great time and not to much BEER..you never know who's watching ya..
So glad to hear about your uncle still doing better..Even a little each day adds up to a lot in teh long run.. I will continue to keep him in my prayers and your family also..
Yep I did copy the song and find myself humming it each time I look at it..  Can't carry a tune in a bucket so humming will have to do  ..Martha

Good Morning and Good Medifast Start Day to you.

Hope you've had your oatmeal and a couple of glasses of water already.

Have a great week!
