What great words of advice and support around here...Nancy I am so glad to hear you say that about the dinner thing. I too am just a little reluctant to share too much information..mainly I think because I am a afraid of failure. It is bad enough that I would know that I had hiccups but I wouldn't want them to know too. But as it turns out...I think I mentioned before...I have an action packed few weeks. I had out of town business partners here this week for three days and next week I am traveling to train a new employee. I work with such a close network of people...Here's the thing...I was being so good (and compliant) that now these little nosey bodies (I love them dearly) have noticed and have reached the conclusion that I am pregnant!!! Or dear me....who would have thunk!

This week was really hard as I really really wanted that glass of wine I didn't touch. I think for my first time I did really really good as I have not eaten any food other than MF since I started. On Monday night I had a grilled chicken breast and plain asparagus, no butters, sauces or oils. I hadn't really thought about figuring out how much it weighed so I kinda tried to guess. I probably ate between 1/2 and 3/4 of the chicken and only had 3 asparagus spears. On Tuesday night I had steak and broccoli. I knew I couldn't have a lot of steak so I had about 1/2 of it..maybe a little less. I split the veggies...I a little bit of broccoli and a little bit of salad with balsamic vinegar. On Wednesday I had fish and broccoli again very plain. I ate 3/4 of the fish and a few broccoli and a little bit of salad. Now this day..I also had a few pieces of seared tuna (appetizer) with just a dabble of soy sause and wasabi..I didn't indulge much so goodness I hope I did okay! I guess we will find out tomorrow when I weigh in at the doctors. I have been really good about staying with the plan so I hope I didn't muss it up. Geesh it was really stressful!!! Next week when I am traveling I will bring all my MF meals with me and plan accordingly. I am going to limit my out meals to maybe twice so I do not risk blowing it.

For those travelers out there...please let me know if you think I misstepped here so I do not make the same mistake again!

And Unca....I am leaving on Sunday for a week and won't be online..you won't steal my regular member status back will ya?!

I think it's DeDe who is a big traveller for business.. She should be able to give you some great tips.

As for the "regular member" title, those titles are automatically given after a certain number of posts, that's all. :) No human intervention in the least so don't worry you'll still be exactly the same hehe.

Pegann, it sounds as though you're doing really well and making a great effort.
The thing about eyeballing stuff is to first have a good picture of what the actual amount really is, so that you have something by which to judge. Have you measured out 7 ounces of chicken after it's been cooked? It's a lot. Really. It's certainly more than I would've guessed. It doesn't appear to me that you had enough, and 3 asparagus spears is definitely not 1.5 cups of veggies. Don't cheat yourself, girl! As counter-intuitive as it seems, your weight loss will be negatively impacted by not eating enough. Plus, it leads to the hungries down the line - and why put yourself in a position where you have to fight that if you don't have to?

Safe travels next week!
