  • -5 Medifast for Diabetics Shakes per day

For Nutrition:

  • -One-Four Supplements per day

Oral diabetes agents:

  • – Generally, plan to discontinue oral agents when you begin the fasting program.
    -Monitor blood sugar levels as instructed by your doctor.

Insulin:

  • -Monitor blood sugar readings twice a day during the early weeks, then decrease monitoring to two to three times a week.
    -If you are on more than 30 units a day, you can usually decrease your dose by half, then reduce it further as your blood-sugar level drops.
