Heading home after eight days in Iowa. We decided to return by way of Wisconsin to Minneapolis. We crossed from Iowa to Wisconsin at Lansing, Iowa. We drove north to La Crosse where we crossed into Minnesota and drove on Interstate 90 and connected to Interstate 52 at Rochester, then up to Minneapolis.
Our trip this morning started out wet but then cleared up as we approached Minneapolis. Taking off from Minneapolis we could see a few of those 10,000 lakes.
It’ll be nice to return home this evening after our connection in Denver. Working with our TasteThin team in Iowa the past seven days has been a joy. We were here in May and the fields were tilled, brown and empty. On this trip, the corn was six feet tall and the soy beans were green and maturing. Everything was green. We were amazed the weather wasn’t warmer and more humid but we understand the temps and humidity were much milder than usual. We’ve kept our eye on the temperatures back home and they’ve been in the 90’s and 100’s, quite unseasonably warm, you might even say HOT!
We land tonight in Portland, OR, and have our two grandsons, Nick and Jake, for a sleepover tomorrow night. We’ll spend a few days at home catching up with a couple of new Health Coaches, then next Thursday take off for southern California. We’ll be in San Diego for the weekend to attend Sean Hannity’s Freedom Concert, then drive up to the Los Angeles area to train with our Executive Director team. We’re then home a couple of weeks before heading to Denver to work with some of our TSFL partners. While in the Denver area, we’re going to attend our niece’s wedding in Aspen, CO. Helping Dr Andersen and Dan Bell get America healthy has been a very rewarding aspiration.
