Today we took a little time off and headed north to ‘Harmony’, Minnesota, to enjoy another part of our ‘melting pot’ America, the Amish community. The Amish adhere to their religious heritage and seem to be very strictly aligned in this area with their beliefs.
We headed north on Hwy 52 from Decorah and crossed the
Iowa/Minnesota border. We traveled through Prosper, MN, and enjoyed viewing the Amish working in their fields on our way to the little town of Harmony. The pictures and sights we encountered along our journey are in the Day 6 photo gallery. If you’re from this area, they may bring back fond memories.
We continue to enjoy this beautiful part of our nation as we wind down our trip. We have found those who live here to be friendly, caring, helpful in any way they can be and Americans who truly love their country and their freedom. Feel free to make any comments you’d like.
